City of Laurel
Brand Story & Service Video Campaign
Brand Video Production | Storytelling | Community Engagement | Laurel, Maryland
For six decades, the City of Laurel's Parks and Recreation Department has been the heartbeat of the community — building parks, programming events, and enriching the lives of Laurel, Maryland residents. To honor this milestone, Vzion Productions was commissioned to craft a cinematic brand story video celebrating 60 years of dedication, service, and community impact.
We approached this project as both a creative challenge and a civic responsibility. Our team developed a dual-format production — a short promotional video and a long-form StoryBrand video — designed to capture the full emotional weight of six decades of public service. The result is a deeply human piece that balances nostalgia with celebration, honoring the past while inspiring pride in the present.
The production featured intimate one-on-one interviews with Parks & Recreation staff and community members whose lives have been shaped by the department's work. Rare archival footage brought history to life, while sweeping drone cinematography showcased the parks and green spaces that define Laurel's landscape. Live event coverage captured the energy of the anniversary celebration itself, and a carefully crafted voiceover narration tied the story together from beginning to end.
The final videos were premiered at a live city event and distributed across the City of Laurel's official website, YouTube channel, and social media platforms — reaching residents, city officials, and community members across the greater Laurel, Maryland area.
This project reflects Vzion's core strength: translating a client's mission and legacy into bold, powerful, and unforgettable visual storytelling. Whether working with government agencies, nonprofits, or local organizations, we bring the same cinematic craft and strategic intent to every frame.
